Bag of Clay Balls
The often dry environment of our homes, especially in winter with the heating on, is not ideal for humidity-loving plants like calatheas, marantas, aphelandras, ferns, and alocasias. In addition to misting the foliage, you can create a homemade humidifier to increase the humidity around your plants.
In the saucer under your plants or even directly in the bottom of your planter. Spread a layer of clay pebbles and pour a small amount of water over them. Place your pot back on the pebbles or your plant on the surface of the bed, and you're done. It's the evaporation of water through the clay pebbles that will create the humidity needed to keep your plants happy.
Caution! Water should never come into direct contact with the plant or the soil; you don't want the roots to sit in water, as this could cause them to rot. When the water has evaporated, simply add more water.

Chaque plante est unique!
